Is Planty Kid safe for my child to use alone?
Children can explore without an account. There are no adverts or chats with strangers. Parent accounts are optional; a grown-up can explicitly share a private progress snapshot. Ask Sprout sends a question for an AI answer, so children should never type personal details.
Does Planty Kid collect any personal data?
Children’s progress and certificate names stay in this browser by default. Optional parent accounts store the grown-up’s email, display name and language preference. A parent may share progress privately, but certificate names, questions and free-text notes are excluded from that snapshot.
What ages is it for?
Ages 4 to 13+. Pick an age group in the header and the wording, science depth and activities change to match.
Is the nutrition information reliable?
It is educational and based on paediatric and dietetic guidance, with sources listed in the Parents & Teachers portal. It never replaces advice from your doctor or dietitian.
Will it make my child feel guilty about eating meat?
No. Planty Kid explains animals, farming and food kindly and factually, with no graphic images and no shaming. Choices are presented as family choices.
Can teachers use it in class?
Yes. Lesson plans, discussion prompts and nine printable activity sheets are free in the Parents & Teachers portal and the Printables centre.
